Surya: Moving ahead with 'Ayan'

Surya
Surya has completed his Vaaranam Aayiram with his favorite director Goutham Menon and moved ahead to 'Ayan', directed by K.V. Anand and produced by AVM Productions. The film which has Tamanna in lead role is currently being shot at Binny Mill in Chennai. It was at the (famous) spot where the 'Mottai' Rajni bashed the villain Suman in the climax sequence of 'Sivaji: The Boss'.

A set, erected by art director Rajeevan inside the premises of Binny Mill, resembles the cargo section of an international airport, full of containers and boxes of all types. The set was obviously used for some exciting action sequences featuring Surya and Bollywood's Akash Deep Sehgal along with many other stunt artistes. 'Kanal' Kannan took charge of the proceedings even as the shooting went on for four days. K.V. Anand, a renowned cinematographer who turned director with Vishal's debut film 'Chellamae', captured those sequences.

Anand is reportedly planning to shoot the climax sequence in and around a valley situated in Cape Town, South Africa. A Unit source revealed that for this climax sequence alone, Anand has earmarked nearly one-fifth of the total budget of the entire film.
